大学委员会
Student Senators serve on an array of different committees at Pitzer College. Our institution’s long time commitment to “shared governance” dictates these committees be composed of a diverse group of constituencies; in most cases that includes a mixture of 学生, 教师, 工作人员. Listed below are each of the committees 学生 serve on during the academic year.
学生会常务委员会
预算委员会
This committee is the official body designated for reviewing all funding requests that are submitted to 学生参议院, and making monetary allocations on behalf of the 学生参议院.
活动板
This committee is tasked by the 学生参议院 to approve, 协调, and finance all student events on the Pitzer College campus, and help facilitate student events across the consortium. It is chaired by a designated member of the 学生参议院, and composed of four permanent member organizations. Read more about 学生支持的事件.
身份董事会
This committee is tasked by the 学生参议院 with overseeing budget allocation, 合作, and coordination for all designated identity organizations at Pitzer College. It is chaired by a designated student senator of the 多元委员会, and composed of one representative from each of the designated member organizations.
选举委员会
This committee is tasked by the 学生参议院 with planning all campus elections and enforcing all regulations as outlined in the committee bylaws and the 学生参议院 Constitution.
院校常设委员会
学术策划委员会(APC)
This committee is responsible for considering and/or recommending policy changes concerning academics, 招生, 以及学术经费的分配, particularly concerning long-term strategies and developments at Pitzer College. 作为一个身体, they are also responsible for promoting integration and interaction between different aspects of Pitzer College’s academic programming.
学术标准委员会
This committee is responsible for assuring that 学生 adhere to the academic standards of the College, for considering student requests for waivers of academic requirements, and for approving the completion of degree requirements.
校园美学委员会
This committee is tasked with reviewing and approving all proposals for the installation of paintings, 壁画, 雕塑, 或者挂着学生的艺术品, 教师, 工作人员, 校友, and other individuals or groups that are in any way affiliated with Pitzer College.
任命、晋升、 & 任期委员会
This body is charged with making recommendations and advising the president in matters of 教师 appointment, 合同更新, 促销活动, 租期的批出, 以及对终身教职员工的定期评估. 两名学生代表(一名大三学生) & one senior) are appointed to serve on this committee for a two-year term.
预算执行委员会
This group is responsible for constructing the annual budget of the College and recommending to College Council policy regarding enrollment, 金融援助, annual increments in 工作人员 and 教师 salaries, 附加福利, and expectations relating to inflation and investment income. The 学生参议院 Vice President is a permanent member of this committee.
Teaching Learning and Campus Life Committee (TLCLC)
This committee is focused on enhancing the intellectual, 文化, and social life of the College; promoting and supporting close 教师-student relationships; and encouraging the involvement of 校友 in the campus community. They may allocate funds for special events, 活动, 项目, and projects that will enhance campus life. This group also aims to help 教师 improve their teaching, 帮助学生提高学习水平, and to develop and facilitate opportunities for conversation and reflection among 教师, 学生, and 工作人员 around topics of teaching and learning.
课程委员会
This committee is responsible primarily for coordinating and reviewing the annual curriculum of the College, for recommending on an annual basis the addition of courses, for approving special majors and independent studies, and for approving new program and major requirements.
多元委员会
This body is charged with assisting the college in meeting its commitment to affirmative action in student, 教师, and 工作人员 recruitment and for assisting the College in creating an environment that is maximally supportive to 学生 from underrepresented groups and that embraces and values diversity.
学院执行委员会(FEC)
The primary leadership committee for Pitzer College 教师 members, designated for making final academic policy and implementing decisions to ensure the effective functioning of all college affairs. 两名学生代表(一名大三学生) & one senior) are appointed to serve on this committee for a two-year term.
学生校友关系委员会
This committee works to maintain positive relationships between 学生 and 校友, and the members serve as the official student liaisons to the Pitzer College 校友 Board during their regular meetings every semester.
出国留学 & 国际项目
This group is tasked with formulating policy relating to the College’s 出国留学 项目, 监督这些项目, and for approving 学生 for participation.
